TRY Application #1
From: Tierrasanta Titans Youth Lacrosse
Club
To: TCC
The Tierrasanta Titans Youth Lacrosse Club is a youth lacrosse program which is
dedicated to bringing lacrosse to the youth of our community in a productive
and positive atmosphere. As such, we have many children who require
assistance in acquiring equipment to play lacrosse. We desire to provide
this equipment to them, and would greatly appreciate a TRY grant to meet this
need.
Our youth teams would gladly perform community service such as picking up trash
and recyclables from the school grounds of Deportola and Jean Farb Middle
Schools plus the playing fields of Serra High School twice during our playing
season of January to June, 2008.
We appreciate your consideration of our application and thank you in advance
for your support of our program.
Sincerely,
Christine R. Jones
President

Rebecca Woodson, a junior at Serra High, has been nominated to represent Serra at the National Young Leaders Conference in March 2008 in Washington DC. Costs for the trip are about $1930 and she has raised $1000. She asks for an unspecified amount to cover the remainder. She offers to present a slideshow of the trip to people who sponsor her in this. Check made out to her or to the Congressional Youth Leadership Council.
