Officer: President
Scott Hasson
I have been privileged to serve on the Tierrasanta Community Council for
two terms, and I now seek to be its chairperson. In the role, I will
ensure that our voices are heard clearly by our elected officials. I
also promise to put the general welfare of Tierrasanta ahead of personal
agendas.
There
will be a lot to do over the next two years, not the least of which will
be to forge good relationships with our new City Councilmember when that
person is elected this year. I will also stay on top of issues affecting
Tierrasanta, including the upcoming extensive work in Mission Trails
Regional Park , and the anticipated military housing development north
of State Route 52. In all these issues, I will be a strong advocate for
not just preserving – but rather enhancing – the quality of life we
enjoy.
I
appreciate your consideration and your vote.

| Area
3 Director
Dan Lazzaro (incumbent)
I, Dan Lazzaro,
have lived in the Villa Trinidad Area since1987.
I have been employed by the San Diego City Schools for
over 20 years as a teacher and counselor.
I have just completed
my first term as a member of the Tierrasanta Community Council and want
to bring that experience forward to another term. As many of the current
members are not running again, my experience will be valuable.
With the recent fires
we all realized how vulnerable we are to the elements and we need to
prepare and protect our community.
I am against the
extension of Tierrasanta Boulevard or any other roads from our
community. Some outside our community want us to open up our roads to
their communities, I do not.
Please vote.

Area 4 Director
Lee Campbell
(incumbent) I have been
a TCC director for over four years and have been actively involved in
most issues affecting Tierrasanta. In addition, I am a member of the
logoware committee, facilitator of the Tierrasanta Fire Safe Council,
Calendar Photo Contest committee, a member of the Open Space Committee,
Friends of Tierrasanta Canyons, member of the Taste of Tierrasanta
committee, alternate to the Community Planners Committee, representative
to the Grantville Stakeholders Committee, representative to the San
Diego River Park Coalition among others. I look forward to continuing
these efforts as a director of the TCC. I believe that accuracy of the
TCC minutes should be improved, attention to issues that affect
Tierrasanta should be more reasonable and improved, and TCC officers
should preside over the meetings and not set policy.

Area 7 Director - Two Seats to be Filled
First seat: Jerry Bierman
I am a sixty five year old retired
Internist who has served on the TCC for the last two years. I assisted
in the campaign to keep the airport from relocating to Miramar and have
worked in both the fall and spring fairs. I am currently on the Open
Space Committee and have been assisting the Friends of the Canyons in
the redevelopment of our canyon trails. These will become more
important as our access to MTRP will be limited over the next two years
as the Water Authority installs and relines their pipelines.
My wife and I love our lifestyle
living in Tierrasanta and my general philosophy in participating in
community service is to strive to preserve, as well as to enhance our
way of life in the community.

Commercial Director
Lou Binford
(incumbent)
Business: Keystone
Real Estate
It has been an honor to serve on
the Tierrasanta Community Council for the last two years. My
position of Commercial Director has allowed me to interact with many
local volunteers, residents and business people that give their time
to the community. It would be a pleasure to serve another term and
continue to utilize the knowledge I have gained in this office.
