Proclaiming
November 19, 2003 to be Tierrasanta Community Council’s Safety Services and
U.S. Navy Volunteers Appreciation Day. (Deanna Spehn and Kathy Warburton)

In
the Matter of Special TRY Grant Recommendations for November 2003 (Deanna

Tierrasanta
response to the firestorm and damage to the community including loss of homes
and the families impacted, fire damage in the open space areas and
re-seeding/re-planting, problems encountered during the evacuation and
suggestions for future, next steps, etc. It is anticipated that the Tierrasanta
Community Council will make several specific recommendations based on the
discussion. Fred Zuckerman will report on recommendations made at the November
meeting of the Tierrasanta Open Space Committee. (Deanna Spehn)

Recommendation
that the “official” Tierrasanta Fire Fund be declared to be via the Tierrasanta
Kiwanis Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, that will provide all
recipients with the proper receipt for the IRS. Contact information: Bob

Appointment
of a Tierrasanta Representative to the City of San Diego Airports Advisory
Committee, which advises the City Manager on issues that affect both Montgomery
Field and Brown Field. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis beginning in
January 2004. The committee is made up of airport tenants, users and
representatives of the communities adjacent to the two airports. The term is 4

Request
by the Serra Foundation for the Tierrasanta Community Council to maintain the
“Serra Corner” at an approximate annual cost of $2500 until such time as a vote
is taken to expand the Tierrasanta Open Space Maintenance Assessment District

March
2004 elections and declaring which positions will be standing for election.
