3rd Annual Island in the Hills Golf Classic 2003 SEPTEMBER 28, 2003
It was held at the Carlton Oaks Country Club with 1:00 p.m. shotgun scramble. There were 6 teams and total of 20 players : Adam Brand Dick Fialho Al Meth Joe Schafstall Jarod Byerley Greg Labuda Bill Mudd Tom Stanley Marty Cary John Martin Larry Okmin Pat Weishan Doug Cassat Paul McParlane John Paradise Dale Winstead Peter Cronin Deren Moran David Rij Lauren Winstead At registration, the players were given a golf shirt, a lunch bag with water bottle, golf towel, CD, some snacks and complimentary water. Tickets for mulligans and drinks were sold. First team came in around 4:45 p.m. and finally group arrived by 5:45 p.m. A Mexican buffet was provided followed with the awards presentation and raffle. The winning team with lowest net score was Dale & Lauren Winstead, Greg Labuda and Deven Moran. A beautifully engraved plaque was presented to each member. The team sponsored by HG Fenton was awarded the last place trophy. The prize for the Closest to the Pin on the 12th hole went to Paul McParlane and Pat Weishan won the prize for the Longest Drive on the 10th hole. Raffle prizes included 3 different gym or tote bags, a golf book, a set of candles, a 10” portable TV, a gift card to Anthony’s Fish grotto and the grand prize of a Foursome round of golf at Carlton Oaks. Also Fred and Mike’s efforts in getting pictures of the players and putting up the sponsors signs. Without your help, it would have been impossible to have a successful event.
