Bike Path Option 2A

Design Option 2A (Figure 2.1.) has a similar alignment as Option 2, with the difference being that Option 2A extends further west into the unused portion of Admiral Baker Field, see Figure 2. Making use, of the less steep slopes in the unused portion of Admiral Baker Field will allow for smaller cut slope heights. The overall length of the path north of the San Diego River is 4,300 linear feet and will require 12 acres of right-of-way acquisition. The path is located on land owned by J.J.B. Land Company and the Navy. Right‑of‑way acquisition  from the Navy may prove to be difficult. (Editor Note: Figure 2a is the contractor sketch of option 2 and 2A)
