Traffic Study Requested by the TCC from Intracorp Developer
re: the 2004 Proposed Condominium Complex to Replace the Tierrasanta Christian Church at The East End of Tierrasanta Blvd

This page provides the summary information derived from the the analysis conducted by Rick Engineering (which contracts with the City of San Diego for up to 1/2 their jobs). These pages were copied from a graphic version (not text version of a PDF file) so the clarity of the pages is not good.

The study was expanded from that requested by the TCC, with no notice given to the TCC, to assume that Santo Road Santo Road has been connected to Friars Road through the La Mirage Apartments for both the existing Tierrasanta Boulevard analysis and the year 2030 analysis. So Santo Road (assumed to be connected to Friars Road) shows to alleviate some traffic impact on Tierrasanta Boulevard for the current 2005 traffic and for the 2030 traffic.

A comparison of the current traffic on Tierrasanta Boulevard between the Navy Housing project traffic study conducted in 2003 (average daily traffic of and the Rick Engineering study) shows a rough increase of at least 3000 trips per day can be added to the Tierrasanta Boulevard high impact figures:

  • 35,000 ADT at Colina Dorada (remaining LOS E at 39,000), and

  • between Rueda and La Cuenta 35,000 (becoming LOS E at 38,000),

  • west of Colina Dorada 33,200 (becoming LOS F at 36,200),

  • west of Santo 33,700(becoming LOS E at 36,700),

  • high traffic volumes don't seem to be shown to go past the Tierrasanta Town Center 19,600 (remaining LOS B at 22,600) to La Cuenta.
