The Tierrasanta MAD Open Space Committee may take action

A.        Budget Status:   4217, 42171, 4222 Expenditures --  FY 07 Actuals

B.        Treebeard Contract Update – Prebid scheduled for November 20, 2007 @ 9:30 am at Rec Center, Room 3.

C.        Tree Contract Update and Budget Status – Ongoing.    82% spent already.

D.        City Budget Timeline and Fiscal Impacts on Tierrasanta MAD – Started working on FY 09 Budget.  Due to Council January 31, 2007.   We need to schedule a meeting with Andy and the analyst for Dec or January to discuss and (hopefully) approve.

E.         Current and Proposed Special Projects in Tierrasanta MAD –  On Hold

F.         Current and Proposed Herbicide Usage in Tierrasanta MAD -- Ongoing

G.        San Diego County Water Authority Access to Mission Trails Regional Park construction site for pipeline work and Flow Regulatory Structure: timeline, status of ingress/egress issues, impact on Tierrasanta MAD, etc.

5.         New Business/Old Business Revisited: Potential Action Items

A.        Maintenance of Tierrasanta Parks, Joint Use Sites, Center Islands, Streets-Right-of-Way, Improved Open Space and Unimproved Open Space Areas—  

(1)     Monserate Park:  Benches, Sidewalk and Tot Lot. 

(2) New Code Officer for Open Space Issues—Phil Balmanno 

(3)     Antigua Blvd. Median Project Update    

B.        Consideration of a Tierrasanta Banners Maintenance and Replacement Program – Deanna Spehn –  

C.        Consideration of De Portola Comfort Station Use, Access and Maintenance Policy –

D.        Report from Tierrasanta Recreation Council regarding Joint Use Fields and Potential Action Items on the following: - Celeste Weinsheim

(1)     Storage containers on joint use fields: locations and re-locations

(2)     Use agreements on joint use fields –  

(3)     Field closures on joint use fields –  Celeste to report on our meeting and draft field closure schedule.

(4)     Maintenance of playing fields at Tierrasanta Community Park, DePortola Middle School, Farb Middle School, Kumeyaay Elementary School, Serra High School, Tierrasanta Elementary and Vista Grande Elementary School.  Safety Complaint at DePortola and lawsuit for child injury at DePortola (2005).

E.         Friends of Tierrasanta Canyons Report on Current Work Projects and Consideration of Future Projects/Actions – Roberta Froome

F.         Update on Status of Current Grants for Work in Tierrasanta MAD and Consideration of Future Grant Applications/Projects – Lee Campbell and Roberta Froome
