Transit Officials Holding Three More Public Forums Asking Community to Help Define the Future of Transit in San Diego

What: Elevate SD 2020 Public Forums

Why: Public transit has the ability to help solve our housing and mobility challenges, meet our goals for air quality and climate action plans, and provide real choices for residents to move throughout the region.

The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) will be asking residents to help craft the shared vision for transit in San Diego through a series of community forums throughout the agency’s service territory.

The forums will be just one way the public can weigh in over the next several months as MTS works toward developing a possible ballot measure in 2020.

Three upcoming forums are set for Downtown San Diego, City Heights and Barrio Logan.

Community forums are open to the public. They are designed to create a dialogue about transportation values, and provide opinions about how to best improve the current state of transit in San Diego.
